Very sad. Thoughts and prayers to family and friends. Very scary could have been our event I guess its a very grim reminder how lucky we are the dangers of our sport.

Yes Brad it is sad. A risk many take but thank God we are seldom reminded. I was looking at the picture of the buggie by itself after the wreck(on that quick clip they showed) and it looks like there is no top to the roll cage there. Do you think it failed or the cut it off? Trying to figure it out.

I got a bit of info on this Tom Davis a racer from IN, he was not there at the race - But got a phone call from a guy at the track. The car had landed on top of a fence that was in the area of the concrete that he was trying to avoid, And his info was that the fence most likely caused the death, This was a car that had been raced may times before, It had a full cage the emergency crew cut the top off of it. Our prayers go out to the family, I have been to a few races where he ran, great guy and great family.

Thanks Sam, what a shame. Kinda reminds me when Paperboy rolled his cage down the center dividing wall last year at Indy. I was afraid to look when it came to rest. Then as luck would have it they raced that same car to a top 3 finish the next day!!
