Thanks for putting on an exciting race saturday I had a great time! That being said there are a few thing that weren't ok. Number one was missbehavin leaving in an ambulance. I think for safty sake you guys should take the jumps out of the bog pit. I know it puts on a good show but people shouldn't be leaving in ambulances. I also noticed joe groper was the only overlander to bogg and that was in class 2. Is that because the rest of you don't want to tear your trucks up? Also marty york got screwed out of his first pass because of a timing error and broke his truck on the make up pass and was unable to make a second timed run. He should get an apolagy. Again great race and a great time but some things should be addressed before the next one. How about a new bogg pole but only peoole who run that rough sob can vote?

if there were more room a separate pit for class 4 or 5 and up The upper class truck are for the most part to fast for a jumps, might as well put a jump in the drag strip . The bog has been turned into a tuff truck competition I think the club for the most part is concerned and know there has to be changes for the safety of the drivers. Lets hear from the bog drivers

I agree about the humps and also do think what happened to Marty sucks that is the first time we have used that bog system for the most part it worked good and Joe Was not the only member to run the pit

I think that the pit you guys have is great. I think the problem with the jumps is they are too close when you come down off one you will land at the start of another. but with a short track not much you can do about it. It is still one of the best pits around here. It really tests the driver and the truck. another thing with taking out the jumps is its going to be just a deep pit which can make it difficult for the lower class trucks to make it far, I am completely with "ahallagwrench" in saying its not good when anyone leaves in an ambulance. and i do hope missbehavin has a good recovery, Again maybe do another pole and see what happens I am still for the roller coaster pit. It makes it exciting and it tests me and the truck.

A lot better race than the 30 feet we went two years ago. If we take the humps out won't the drag trucks start racin in the bog pit? We're not very fast an I think whoever is not at the top of their class now are relly going to be hurting if you guys smooth the pit out. Hate to see anyone get injured and hoping the best for the blue trucks driver. On the other hand i think that everyone needs to understand this is a motor sports event and the safer it is made the more boring it is for the drivers and the watchers. If someone wrecks on the drag track are you going to put up a speed limit sign. One ambulance ride is unfortunante but it should be understood that its part of the whole motorsports event. It just happens if your racing motorcycles, trucks or stock cars. doesnt have to be the tracks falt. I dont want to race those drag trucks in the dirt and the bog pit to, and if boggers are smart you wont either. might as well have two drag tracks. just my 02 cents.

I'm not talking about making the pit a drag pit. I'm saying that the jumps are too straight up and down. I also understand that there are risks in racing on any level I just don't think the risk should be magnified by buulding a track that gets class 2 trucks up in the air. I don't think anyone built their truck for jumps as evidenced by 1 out of every 3 trucks leaving broken. I run open class with a lot faster trucks than I have and didn't do well this year but I took 2 at both races last year so I guess I'm not worried about drag trucks coming in and ruining the bog classes. The only drag truck that was entered in the bog was junkfoot and it couldn't because it broke in the drags. Most drag drivers don't want to have to wash their trucks after the bog anyway. Joe groper might not have been the only overlander to run the bog but several other overlanders have run in bogs at other places but won't run in the pit in peoria. ? Just an observation. I would like to see the pit deeper at the end so not everyone maks it out.

The only reason I come all the way down is because I like the style of bogs the overlanders put on. If people didn't want to run that style of bog they probably wouldn't drive in from another state.
Apologize for one timing problem in a whole day of racing? I have been to bogs with timing problems on every other run. The new timing system was great compared to a stopwatch like in the past!!
My opinion would be to run the fast trucks first when there is still mud in the pit to slow them down, then run down through the classes so the lower class trucks would have a better chance of making it through the pit. This could also speed up the event when you don't have to pull all the lower class trucks back out of the pit.
