i have a 1986 f-250 4x4 with a 351w does anybody know if a 302 will bolt up to the tranny i have and if the motor mounts are the same

289/302/351w should all be the same mounts,as far as tranny's theres 302/351w that all have same pattern and fit a c-6,then theres the bb pattern for the 429/460,351m,400 pattern

yeah i knew the big block and small block have different bolt patterns

yeah when i bought my truck the guy gave me a complete 390 tranny ans transfer case not bad all that for 1600 bucks

Also be really careful on that 302 different years have internal and external balance so make sure you have the correct flywheel or flex plate or it will vibrate like crazy. I don't remember the exact years but I had a friend who had the wrong year balancer and flywheel on his mustang and it would shake your teeth at about 3500 RPM until I figured out what he did wrong. ;D

hey does anybody know what bolt pattern the 300 straight 6 has big or small block pattern want to swap out the straight 6 for big block

289,302 and 351 w share the same pattern as the 300,i believe or at least i thought they did,i could be wrong,

300 6cyl has the 302 351 pattern 99.9 percent sure but i have been wrong on the .1 percent before lol but this time i am postive. some 289 and all 302 351 windsor 351 cleveland and 300 6 cyl have same bellhousing could be wrong but im thinkin the new mod motors have the same bellhousing. then you have the 385 bellhousing 351m 370 429 and 460

the straight 6 is in an 80's bronco i realy don't know to much about ford swaps like that
