Brian - The Toyota wants a rematch !! The racing slicks are staying in the garage and some "meats" are going to be sported on that day. (doubt if it's going to make a difference but it's the only plan I have) Jeff, we'll do our best to make it, but doubt it'll happen. We're awfully busy until closing later this month. I'll keep you posted. I'll be sure to keep it in 2wd next time for you. ;D BTW, you guys can keep your aired up tires next time. I haven't tried aired up offroading in years...I remember why, LOL. I'll just be late to the after parties since I'll have to air up before hitting the road.

Hey brain I was at 40 psi the whole day and never had a problem in my blazer. Although they are boggers and I did trailer it their so you win.

Naw, your blazer took first place for sure. The "problem" I'm referring to is the one trail with the 12" or so ledge at the bottom. I come from rock crawling country and am used to my tires wrapping ledges and being able to "crawl" them. Call me a girl thingy, but I'm not into ramming obstacles to clear them...I'm not big on breaking things. Lower psi will help me be more delicate/finesse rather than relying on momentum. Just my preference when crawling. Now mud, that's a different story. My playday "aired-down" is just 10-12 psi though, not all that low. Haven't lost a bead yet. I do miss my Interco tires though. These street MT tires just don't stick to things like I'm used to. Nice job at the play day.

Thank god someone understands the lowering of tire pressure. I just got this I still need a front driveshaft, i'll figure that out later. It will be rolling out of the garage saturday night or sunday on its own power. If any1 would like to help finish the project up beer & food will be provided.

bquist, where do you live? I could use a little de-stressing wrenching on a vehicle if it works in my schedule (local and evenings only). I have the Oasis Offroad's automatic tire deflators. Put one on each tire, wait a few minutes, and they shut off automatically. Airing up isn't as easy though. Just a stupid VIAIR system with 2.5 gallon tank. Takes about 5 mins per 38" tire. I dream of a belt driven York someday...or maybe someday I'll give up the luxury of air conditioning. My front driveshaft is from High Angle Driveline. Jesse is a hell of a guy to work with and can build just about anything. He had to make a custom yoke for my t-case for things to work. He's pricey, but you get what you pay for. I like to keep the shaft below 45 when possible (starts getting a slight vibration), but I've had it up to 90mph without issue.
