I agree, trophies for all classes... with modest payouts. And John, maybe that's why your truck counts have dropped significantly. Fairly sad that Pony Express Days had more trucks in stock than Overlanders pulled all year. Nonody does this to get rich, but raping the little guy is a sure way to kill the sport. The writing has been on the wall for awhile. If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem. That's why I'm out.

i would rather see the money than a trophy i drive a ways to race just for a trophy and diesel isnt cheap at 9 to 11 mpg but do what you got to do i just want to know be for i make a treck over and john try looking up omro mud races all there fairs pay great and also pony express was a $125 gurentee be for we had 39 trucks in just stock and the pana fair was $300 to win for stock we had 29 trucks hot stock at pana paid 300 to win as well just so u know that if you have a good pay people will come to play

if there was 39 trucks with the overlanders first would pay 487.50 at 29 trucks 362.50 my math seems they pay less than the overlanders the paymet hasnt changed in 20 years the figures are on paying first 3 places but after 10 entrys we pay 5 places so sorry we cant make you happy have fun at those other races.....

The fly in the ointment there is there aren't any trucks. With no advertising, and rules designed to keep non-members out, Overlanders is dead in 3-5 years. With sarcastic and meaningless posts such as yours, it doesn't work. Having to ask to be etched, doesn't work. I can find a dozen other little nuances that I dislike about individuals and the organization, but the truth is, I'd rather just race with people who care about the sport, and not lining their pockets.

we don't make any money to run the race. As club members we do it because we love the sport and want to have a place for people to race. If we had a ton of cash to offer we would. the fair races are the only time we get extra money added to the payouts and 100% of that cash is paid to the racers.

as for no trucks ?? we have had well over 100 multiple times the last two years. and rules to keep non members out ?? we have made rules that kick our own trucks out of a class because it seemed like a better rule for the class

Let's cut to the chase. You have no idea who I am. Am I being a bit facetious? Absolutely. The internet affords me the opportunity to be this way. In reality, I'm a nice guy who calls it like I see it.
One thing I learned long ago is that you are the face of the organization you represent. Being a sarcastic, arrogant, and self-righteous individual is your right, however you damage your credibility, and more importantly that of the group you represent by being so.
I apologize if I've offended anyone, that wasn't the intent. I just want to see equality, fairness, and accountability afforded to any and all.

I didn't mean for this to become an uproar I was just tryn to say that the fairs around pay min 125 to 300 to win in the lower classes is all people. Like I said rfm races and Pana / OMRO pay lower classes as well as I think wild country does as well u guys have a grate place to run at. I was just saying for fair races not every rAce just to explain that better. And a lot of fairs pay wonderfull all the way up Pana fair pays a total if $6000 biggest purse in the state and that's from stock on up. I didn't intend for people to get pusses off over sum thing this dumb. And to john what is pay if you have two trucks in a class cuz last year both times I won I got paid $15 and u paid 30 or 35 to race each time thanks for your time and everyone just calm down on here we are here for fun and to meet new people and to try and grow the sport
