Do you have to be a member for the play day? I have been working on a '74 blazer, it's the boys graduation present. I'm gonna help him, he wants to mud drag it. We have not had it off-road yet. It has a 6" lift with 35" BFG AT'S. 8 shocks, 2 kicker shocks, 2 steering dampner shocks. A decent 350 mild mods. I'm looking for someone to change the ring and pinions and install detroit lockers with 4:56 gears, it has 3:08 now. stock axels. I want to 4 wheel with experienced people. I want the boy to learn right. Tread lightly! tay off private property without permission, etc. You know. I do what I can, I've been up and down with my cancer and bad heart. Every day you wake up breathing is a good day! We have been through alot as a family and lost everything! We are just now starting to get our life back, it's been a long road since 2002. I turned 30 then and fell apart. Anyway, I am very interested in your races and possibly joining your club. We live in East Moline. streetrodder4ever@hotmail.com Thanks, sincerly Jim.

Jim, I'm from the Quad Cities too (Colona). Overlanders is a fun group. I'm not a member of the club yet, but have gone out with them a few times. They'll likely ask for $10 from you to participate in the playday as a non-member. I'm not sure if we're heading down on Sunday or not yet (still working on the wife). If we decide to go, maybe you and I can caravan down together. Chevy till we die!

Hey, thanks Jeffro. We are gonna try and make it, I have to check my fundage, dissability income sucks! I hope these Dr.'s can get me fixed up so I can go back to work. Brian, we used to live in Colona behind the firestation across from Budd Rosselle. Then lived down in Cleveland on river by I-80 bridge, got tired of the floods, ended up selling house back to bank to save my credit. I am shocked I have not seen your truck before. I'll let you know if we're gonna go so we can follow you. I'm gonna try to get my buddy to go so he can pull me down on my trailor, just in case we break it. I still am not sure about everything on it yet. I looked it over pretty good, it seems to be pretty solid. I am not new to 4-wheel drives, just new to trail riding them. I,ve had a few big pavement pounders. This blazer used to be a nice show truck back in its day. I'll let you all know

Jim, We were in the military for many years up until September of 2007. We've wheeled all over the country, but only just recently moved back to the Quad Cities. The truck isn't a show truck/daily driver anymore. It pretty much just sits except for offroad days and extreme weather. I'm not surprised you haven't seen her around.

Jim, Danielle is in the mood for some 4-wheeling on Sunday. We will be heading down. Colona should be on the way to I-74E for you, right? Wanna meet at TK's Restaurant in Colona at 9:30 for breakfast? The prices are decent.

Brian, that sounds good. My wife Becky, son Wade, his friend Rock and myself will be there at 9:30. Yes they named their kid Rockford after the city and their daughter is Rochelle, after the city. Good thing tey don't have any more kids, the poor things might have been named Peoria! I'm taking my buddies new truck so I can pull my blazer on my car trailer incase it breaks. I do not trust it yet. I want to see how its gonna act and hold up and what I need to concentrate on first. I know I've only just begun. See you There!!

Michael and I will be there with my diesel and his yellow truck, looks like we are the only ones of our group ready for this weakend. Nick's brown Ford went home from the last playday with a rod knocking and his new motor is not done yet. I was really hoping to bring my new play truck down but it is still not finished.
See you guys tomorrow

Brian and guys, we broke a power-steering belt late last night getting ready to put it on the trailer. I'm gonna try and get one as soon as the part stores open. There wasn't any cracks in it, just hard as a rock. I hope Brian checks this before he leaves for breakfast. At least it picked a good time to break. So I'm gonna throw new belts on and still try to meet you all by 11:00 in Wataga.
