the problem is you even said yourself you wanted to make the classes not such an extreme jump between classes so now a guy comes down with a 514 vacuum motor where does he go justin? cant run class 300 and not even close to enough motor to run 400. so where does he go. you just run him off. and hes not gonna change his motor for your guys two or three races because he wont be able to compete anywhere else. what it amounts to is someone has a 498 chevy that wants an advantage! but its all good i think you heart is in the right place and all us guys that you turned away have plenty of races to go to elsewhere.

no need to apologize justin you didnt do anything to me. quite frankly depending on what else was changed i fit the rules. its my decision that im not tearing my motor apart and taking a chance to win 50 bucks. i just had my 468 freshened up and it cost us about 2000$ so no need to apologize to me im just speaking my peace.

To look at the differences in class 300 and 400 300 has to pull vac we all know the bigger the motor the easier it is to pull the vac this is a point that is up to now being ignored we might as well through out the vac rule if we allow any size CI Stall converter there is only 2 trucks I know that ran 300 last year that fit that rule, we might as well get rid of it also it is to hard to check properly as we have found out over the last years Traction bar can be welded in 400 and bolted in 300 not much different Bumpers and heater core removed for 400 not much diff there Batt in stock location not hard to fix that in Class 400 there was a 512 ci motor that is 1 inch away from pulling the needed vac for class 300 it did very well in 400 at each race We were trying to get more separation between the classes as there is not much there now - and we watched most of class 300 bump up to 400 and place which is not wrong they were very well build class 300 trucks We have been asked before to get rid of the carb rule and lower our vac limit so we did now you can run class 400 I'm sure I over looked something in the rules so fell free to check them and we can debate them. I know I'm sticking my neck out so chop away

well lets debate..... i hope one of those two trucks with a legal stall you are talking about is mine. im pretty sure my 2500rpm boss hawg 250 dollar convertor is totally legal. and you might as well throw it out i listened to a truck last year in class 300 leave off a trans brake and a two step box and nobody said anything. my 468 pulls 17-19 inches of vacuum. vacuum cams are such a restrictor is not even funny. my cam if i remember right is 604 611 lift now if i put a 750 plus lift cam and some cobra jet heads on my motor or better yet some iron ex 514 heads lose about 500 lbs now that would be a class 4 truck! there is a huge difference between 300 and 400 there just are no real 400 trucks that show up . not trying to offend anyone as there is some tough running trucks in 400 but most are just 300 trucks that cant pull vacuum. 300 WAS the most interesting competive drag class you had. doug i would love to see you whoopem with your sbc!

I don't understand your dispute if you fit the new rules you should be the most happy of any one I thought a couple of you guys were not mud racen next year ?? yes a VAC CAM IN A BIG MOTOR IS LESS HP than the same motor with non vac cam, but it is still more than a small motor pulling the same vac so put the big cam in and lets race or keep the small cam and keep it at the 500ci or less and you are set I can debate this for ever I played the game for many years and had lost my welcom at most tracks, I got out of the vac game and I am much happier.

my problem is i know i will be protested every race. and i am NOT pulling parts of my motor to win 50 bucks and im not coming down to just race one class. thats my dispute. maybe im way off to to me it looks like this rule was put in to place for the wrong reasons to protect some club members. so maybe we should just agree to disagree because i can debate this forever too!

What club member do you think this rule was made for I am building a class 300 truck rite now with a 30 over454 is this meaning me ? It definitely cant be me you will find nobody that is more fair and honest than I am I stepped back when we got to the300 class rules because I felt it unfair that I should try to make any rule in my favor for the class I run I did vote it in after it was on the table if that makes me a cheater I will not run class300 I did bring up the carb rule for you guys that didn't want it knowing I just bought mine that fit the old rule so when blaming the club know that there are people that are here for all racers not just themselves

Hey guys I have a class 300 truck cant let Justin take any more heat. I have mixed feelings on this. Since Iam the Presdent of the club I can say what I think but have to stay neutral on the vote. Jeff you now are truck yes guys its a chevy, Its a 461 ci. motor and it will run with the best of them, Jeff knows remeber the oct. race that was alot of fun. Some times i think people take it to serious, your not going to make much money at this sport and that is all it is sport go out and have a good time. Iam sorry some of you guys dont like the new ruling its been great racing with you and hope there is no hard feelings I know theres not on the clubs end and maybe one day we can all race together agian.

roger you just hit the nail on the head. it is fun i live for the summer to race and there is no money involved period but your new rule is asking us to gamble on the money we have in our motors for 100 dollars because someone dont want to race some one else?? if this is gonna be a rule lets all meet up b4 the season in a clean environment EVERYONE has to pump not just a few select guys
