I just looked at the bog rules. What happened to the 400 class?
Looks like we lost a class on the bogs?
9 classes of dirt drags but you cut a bog class??
With 42 inch tires on my truck I guess I'm out too!

you can run class 400 diesel you will just have to run gutted 4 link aluminum headed multiple carb s10's and rangers. lol
are you lucky enough your tires only measure 40 inches?

I don't think I would be that lucky.
I never have understood why the club never looks at this from the spectator point of view. I would think they would want to increase bogs because that seems to be what the crowd comes to see. Spectators would mean money for the club and a fair board who wants you to return. If you want more people interested in this sport and more racers at the track you have to put on a good show. I am not knocking drag racers I just know that my wife and kids can't sit through too much double elimination drag racing without getting bored.
Next race watch the crowd and I think you will find people cheering on a 500 dollar beater bog truck who makes a full run just like they do a 50,000 dollar drag truck.
Just my opinion.

I am a little confused why we changed the Bog rules also. Eliminating a class has made it impossible for a "play day" truck with 44s to come to a race and compete. I don't think that is going to encourage anyone with a set of 44s to show up to a race. Bog entries have been down the last couple of years because of the condition of the pit, not the class structure. None of the new rules directly effect me but I don't think that they have helped the club in any way. I am not sure what the club was trying to accomplish but I think the new changes wil have an adverse effect on attendance.

Andy, I feel the same way, a little confused as to why they would mess with what I thought where some of the best bog rules around and why you would spend a bunch of money to pump engines in the only drag class that seems to draw more than five trucks to every race? I really like coming to overlanders races and do appreciate all the hard work you guys put in to this sport but these changes have really confused me. Maybe someone could explain what brought the changes? Wish I had time to be a active member but I'm a little to far away to make meetings.

We got rid of class300 because it only had 2 differences from 200 and it was always a small class with sometimes only class200 trucks so I dont see whats wrong

Rich, My truck fits in 400 i don't know why yours wouldn't. I think I know why you are saying that you don't fit but if you run gussies class three you will fit in class 3 there as well. If not good luck. I could almost fit in class three with mine as well, but there are three details that keep me out. So you should fit easily. The stall rule is simple there is no true way to check it. If it is checked in low range like they say they check it then you are money. He'll even I would be. But they dropped that rule from the drags because they could not check it but left it in he bog rules. Also no vacuum requirements in 3 so what do you think happens to the converter in those trucks. Ya not 2500. I have to run against the big dawgs there. I don't know how but I did walk away with first in what is now 400. Mainly because nobody built to the extreme of those rules showed up. I really only had to beat otero as marty and Jeremy were only running on the juice that day. I think there could of been a happy medium between the two. You go from a street stock class to a move your motor and throw a couple carbs on it class. I could at more. But got to get back to work. Got to move them trains. why is everyone against trucks running more then one class? i would think you would like that and those two difference between 200 and 300 bog were huge. your rules werent the problem on why you have no trucks. you do no advertising and you dont make a guy feel very welcome while hes there especially if he can win thats the problem not the rules so maybe everyone oughta sit back down and rethink on whats wrong!!!
look at gussies rules those are some of the most screwed up rules ive ever seen but ya know what he gets a lot of trucks. for one you can build to his rules because he doesnt change them every year and rules dont get changed because some out "smarted" the club half way through the season and when you go down there you feel welcome everyone for the most part gets a long and if you beat some one they just say oh well ill get you next time not ill get you out thrown of the class next time!

the rule change in bog class was a huge difference ? i didn't think it was we are not making rules to throw people out we didn't have a big turn out for the little rule difference so why have it

vacuum is a huge difference but now you can run after market heads so now you dont even have many 200 trucks bumping up. someone must have aftermarket iron heads
